Dr Rasha Cosman

Dr Rasha Cosman is a Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre, St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, having joined the team in 2018. As the Head of Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit and the Clinical Lead of Oncology Clinical Trials, she endeavours to support and progress the clinical research efforts in exploring and providing access to novel therapies and innovative, cutting-edge technologies for the benefit of patients affected by cancer.

Rasha also specialises in the management of Skin Cancers and Melanoma including uveal melanoma and is an active member of the respective Multidisciplinary Teams.

Rasha obtained her primary medical qualification from the University of New South Wales and worked in the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service and proceeded to undertake her Medical Oncology training at St George and The Prince of Wales Hospitals becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013.

Pursuing her interest in clinical research, Rasha went on to join the National Health and Medical Research Centre as the Research Fellow for The Australian Lung Trials Group and The Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology and went on to gain further experience in drug development and Early Phase Clinical Trials working at Scientia Clinical Research and The Kinghorn Cancer Centre Clinical Trials Unit. With a strong passion for education, she has maintained an active affiliation with the University of New South Wales as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer and is actively involved in the development and delivery of the Faculty of Medicine undergraduate programme.
