Within The Kinghorn Cancer Centre, the primary point of contact for patients is our cancer care nurse co-ordinators, who guide and assist cancer patients through the complex system of diagnosis, treatment and follow up.
Coordinated clinical care delivery involves triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients using a collaborative approach. Collaborative service delivery is based on a general population focus and the specific patient needs along the continuum of care.
The Centre allows for an increased level of involvement from patients and consumer advocates by providing infrastructure for patient support services.
