The focus of translational research at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre is in the areas of breast, prostate, gastrointestinal (pancreas and colorectal cancer) and haematological cancers.  Translational research describes research that involves people, the use of personal data, the use of blood or tissue samples, and/or the development or adaptation of diagnostic or treatment technology.  The research conducted at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre aims to improve cancer care through better diagnosis and treatment options.
